He is the General Director and President of Opera Philadelphia\, and the Artistic Director of SongStudio at Carnegie Hall. He has appeared with many of the world’s leading opera companies and orchestras including the Metropolitan Opera\, Opera National de Paris\, Lyric Opera of Chicago\, San Francisco Opera\, Teatro Real Madrid\, New York Philharmonic\, Berlin Philharmonic\, LA Philharmonic\, London Symphony Orchestra\, Cleveland Orchestra\, National Symphony Orchestra\, San Francisco Symphony\, Met Orchestra Chamber Ensemble\, and NDR at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg\, among others. He has performed at venues such as Carnegie Hall\, Lincoln Center\, Versailles\, Madison Square Garden\, The Hollywood Bowl\, Kabuki-Za Tokyo\, The Guggenheim\, The Park Avenue Armory\, and Joe’s Pub. \nCostanzo stars in the Metropolitan Opera’s recording and DVD of Akhnaten\, which won him a Grammy Award\, and his solo album ARC was nominated for a Grammy\, as was his recording of the title role in John Corigliano’s Lord of Cries. Constanzo collaborated with cabaret legend Justin Vivian Bond on the album Only an Octave Apart. His future projects include a new solo album and a forthcoming book. \nAs a producer\, he has created projects for The Paris Opera\, The New York Philharmonic\, The BBC Proms\, WQXR\, and St. Ann’s Warehouse\, among others. Costanzo graduated with honors from Princeton University and the Manhattan School of Music. DESCRIPTION:Please note\, Aaron Tveit replaces Andrew Rannells as the Mahaiwe’s 2025 Gala performer\, due to an unavoidable scheduling conflict.\nSHOW-ONLY TICKETS\n\nShow-only tickets: $75 – $150 \nFor Gala dinner packages visit mahaiwe.org/gala. \nAaron Tveit is a Tony-winning\, American theatre\, television\, and film actor.  \nTveit earned a 74th Annual Tony Award leading the cast of the world premiere production of Moulin Rouge! The Musical. A stage adaptation of Baz Luhrmann’s critically acclaimed film\, the Grammy-nominated show premiered on Broadway in the summer of 2019. Tveit also received an Outer Critics Circle honor for his performance. He is next to be seen in the iconic Chess co-starring Lea Michelle and Nicholas Christopher\, coming this fall.   \nIn July 2021\, he was seen in Apple TV+’s new series Schmigadoon. He also appears in Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Stories and Audible and Broadway Video’s podcast Hit Job\, alongside Keke Palmer\, Pete Davidson and more.  \nTelevision audiences know him from USA network series Graceland;\, the CBS comic-thriller\, Braindead\, where he played the male lead of Gareth\, opposite Mary Elizabeth Winstead; and the Emmy award winning television musical\, Grease: Live\, where he played Danny Zuko opposite Julianne Hough and Vanessa Hudgens. Most recently\, Tveit was seen in Hallmark’s One Royal Holiday\, opposite fellow Broadway star Laura Osnes. He will next be seen in Apple TV+’s upcoming\, untitled musical comedy series\, produced by Lorne Michaels. He has also held numerous guest-starring roles on The Good Fight\, Gossip Girl\, The Good Wife\, Ugly Betty\, and Law and Order: SVU.  \nTveit’s film credits include Les Miserables\, where he was seen portraying the character Enjolras alongside Anne Hathaway\, Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe\, Out of Blue\, Created Equal\, Better Off Single\, Undrafted\, Premium Rush\, Howl\, and Ghost Town.  \nOn Broadway\, he helped revive Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street\, starred in Catch Me if You Can\, in the role of Frank Abagnale Jr.\, and also created the role of “Gabe” in the Pulitzer Prize winning Broadway musical\, Next to Normal\, which he developed off-Broadway at the Second Stage Theatre and debuted on Broadway.   \nIn addition to Wicked and Hairspray on Broadway\, he starred in the national tours of Hairspray and Rent. He is featured on the cast recordings for Catch Me if You Can and Next to Normal\, as well as his solo album\, The Radio in My Head: Live at 54 Below. Tveit sold out back-to-back nights at The Pallidum in London in April of 2025.  \nTveit has received numerous honors for his work in theatre including the Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Supporting Performance in Next to Normal and the Actors Equity Association Clarence Derwent Award for Most Promising Actor.
