SUMMARY:A.J. Croce: Croce Plays Croce
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\n\n$45 to $70 (plus processing fees)\nMahaiwe Members & Youth Discount Event  \n$45 Reserved \n$60 Preferred\n$70 Premium  \nMembers receive $5 off each ticket \n$15 ages 30 and under (visit the Box Office or call 413-528-0100\, Wed – Sat\, 12-4pm) \nAcclaimed singer songwriter\, piano virtuoso and multi-instrumentalist A.J. Croce is once again taking his celebrated Croce Plays Croce tour across the country\, bringing audiences an unforgettable evening of music that bridges generations and celebrates the enduring power of song.  \nFrom his earliest performances as a teenager\, to his critically acclaimed albums and world tours\, A.J. Croce has forged a remarkable career entirely on his own terms. Over the course of three and a half decades and eleven studio albums\, he has become known as an acclaimed songwriter\, multi-instrumentalist\, and electrifying performer\, with more than twenty songs reaching Billboard’s Top 40 charts across multiple genres. Celebrated for his ability to bridge styles and eras with effortless grace\, Croce moves fluidly through American roots\, rock n’ roll\, blues\, jazz\, soul\, and world music\, creating a sound that is as distinctive as it is timeless.  \nThroughout his remarkable career\, A.J. has shared the stage with an extraordinary list of musical icons — including Ray Charles\, B.B. King\, James Brown\, Willie Nelson\, Lyle Lovett\, and Rod Stewart — each collaboration adding another layer to his deep and diverse musical story.  \nSon of the legendary singer songwriter\, Jim Croce\, A.J. purposefully waited thirty years to perform his father’s music\, only introducing his acclaimed Croce Plays Croce tour when he felt there was a meaningful way to honor his musical legacy with depth\, intention\, and musical integrity. Croce Plays Croce showcases that legacy in a way that few concerts can. The show features a moving and energetic blend of Jim Croce’s legendary songs — such as “Operator\,” “You Don’t Mess Around with Jim\,” “Bad Bad Leroy Brown” and “Time in a Bottle” — alongside A.J.’s own acclaimed originals. Through stories\, humor\, and remarkable musicianship\, A.J. connects audiences to both his father’s iconic body of work and his own evolution as one of today’s most respected artists.

SUMMARY:Met Opera Live in HD: Mozart’s Così fan tutte
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS–\n$25 / $10 ages 21 and under (plus processing fees) \nConnectorCare/WIC/EBT Card to Culture*  \nThis screening is an encore per Mahaiwe scheduling.  \nThe Met: Live in HD season kicks off with Mozart’s satirical comedy of fickle young love\, one of the composer’s most sublime creations. Phelim McDermott’s “colorful\, inventive” (The New York Times) staging\, inspired by Coney Island in the 1950s\, sets the uproarious story at a boardwalk amusement park\, where the two pairs of lovers at the heart of the tale find themselves on one emotional—and literal—thrill ride after another. Soprano Federica Lombardi and mezzo soprano Samantha Hankey sing Fiordiligi and Dorabella\, opposite tenor Duke Kim and baritone Andrey Zhilikhovsky as Ferrando and Guglielmo. Bass-baritone Gerald Finley reprises his portrayal of the cynical Don Alfonso\, with soprano Ana María Martínez as the witty maid Despina.  \n *We accept ConnectorCare/WIC/EBT cards! SUMMARY:César Orozco & SonAhead
DESCRIPTION:RESERVA\n\nFREE\, Reservations required \nIn conjunction with Festival Latino of the Berkshires \nSonAhead is the latest project of Cuban-Venezuelan pianist\, vocalist\, composer\, arranger\, violinist\, and educator Cesar Orozco\, who is also a 2025 Latin Grammy winner for Best Arrangement. In addition to his work on piano\, arrangements\, and compositions\, Orozco takes center stage as the lead vocalist\, marking an exciting new chapter in his career. \n  \nThe name SonAhead speaks to its essence: a fusion of Cuban son—a foundational genre for what we now recognize as salsa—infused with elements of modern jazz\, electronic music\, and Cuban timba\, a vibrant style that emerged in the 1990s which has deeply influenced Orozco since his teenage years. Listeners will find echoes of legendary timba groups like NG La Banda\, El Médico de la Salsa\, and Isaac Delgado woven throughout the music of SonAhead.\n  \nWhile stepping into the role of lead vocalist may seem novel to those who have followed Orozco’s career as a pianist over the past two decades\, it’s not his first foray into this territory. During his studies at the National School of Arts (ENA) in Cuba\, he formed his own band\, serving as bandleader\, arranger\, composer\, and vocalist.

The NEA Jazz Master\, Grammy Award winner\, and Tony and Emmy Award nominee is equally at home performing concertos with symphony orchestras and sitting in with members of the Grateful Dead\, but the core of his musical universe remains the Branford Marsalis Quartet. After more than three decades of existence with minimal personnel changes\, this celebrated ensemble is revered for its uncompromising interpretation of a kaleidoscopic range of both original compositions and jazz and popular classics. After receiving Grammy nominations on its last two albums\, Upward Spiral and The Secret Between the Shadow and the Soul\, the Quartet made its Blue Note Records debut with the release of Belonging\, a full album interpretation of Keith Jarrett's 1974 ECM album of the same name. The New York Times commented "Marsalis has tackled imposing jazz masterworks before…but at its best\, his 'Belonging' goes deeper…it's a performance that both honors and amplifies." John Zeugner captured the impact of the Quartet in a review of a live performance\, calling it "casually confident\, professional\, cerebral\, and supercharged with energy. The Branford Marsalis Quartet…was all of those adjectives and more."

SUMMARY:BEATrio: Béla Fleck\, Edmar Castañeda & Antonio Sánchez
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS—\n$49 – $89 (plus processing fees)\nMahaiwe Member & Youth Discount Event  \n$49 Reserved\n$74 Preferred\n$89 Premium  \nMembers receive $5 off each ticket  \n$15 ages 30 and under (visit the Box Office or call 413-528-0100\, Wed – Sat\, 12-4pm)  \nBanjo. Drums. Harp. Huh? \nTo be sure\, the new all-star trio of Béla Fleck\, harpist Edmar Castañeda and drummer Antonio Sánchez features instrumentation that might safely be called uncommon. Unless\, of course\, you're already familiar with 19-time Grammy-winner Fleck – the genre-blurring virtuoso who has done more to expand the possibilities of the banjo than any other player in the instrument's history. From his bluegrass beginnings through his otherworldly Flecktones\, his duo with Chick Corea and his reimagining of Rhapsody in Blue\, Fleck's work never fails to surprise. What doesn't surprise is the impeccable caliber of his collaborators – and this new trio includes two of the most gifted musicians of their generation.  \n "I'm fascinated by what they do and how they break the rules." – Felix Contreras\, NPR Music  \nThe harpist\, Castañeda\, hails from Bogotá\, Colombia\, and has led his own bands in addition to sharing projects with such masters as Hiromi\, Paquito D'Rivera and Grégoire Maret. Five-time Grammy-winner Sánchez grew up in Mexico City and built a reputation as one of the great jazz drummers through his work with guitarist Pat Metheny.  \nThe new album BEATrio is out now! Playing original repertoire\, much of it collaboratively written\, this trio embarks nightly on fearless explorations that audiences will find irresistible — rich with strong melodies\, gorgeous harmony and grooves that twist and turn while feeling fantastic. \n"Fleck's most ambitious collaboration to date\, and contains some of the most extraordinary instrumental work by all three musicians." – Jazzwise  \n\n–\nSponsored by Dr. Beth B. and Jeffrey N. Cohen
