MISSION AND VALUES

The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center presents live performances, film, and cultural events year-round, bringing a variety of content to the stage and screen of our historic Berkshire theater, through programs of the highest quality in dance, music, drama, comedy, and educational and family programs. We bring together diverse audiences and artists, highlight national and regional talent, and contribute to the quality of life of our community through the performing arts.

“What do we stand for?”

Passion & Engagement:  Knowing that all great art is born from an open heart and keen mind, we strive to bring our audiences work that will inspire, provoke, and enthrall, and we enter into our own work with a similar commitment to whole-hearted investment and bold, creative thinking.

Communication & Connection:  Just as great performances not only draw people together but also synchronize experience, we strive to heighten interaction and dialogue within our community, based on respectful conduct, transparency, integrity, and responsiveness.

Teamwork & Creativity:  Based on the belief that creativity is a shared endeavor, we seek to embody the qualities that will lead to high craft and joyful invention in all we do, through common purpose, celebration of contributions, and holding ourselves accountable to our community and to each other.
