The Mahaiwe marries the beauty, warmth and intimacy of a turn-of-the-century proscenium theater with the latest in stage technology — the perfect place to host your next event or production. The theater is easily accessible from New York and Boston, in the vibrant Berkshire downtown of Great Barrington. Built in 1905 and meticulously restored in 2005, the Mahaiwe is a fully equipped fly house, with state-of-the-art lighting, sound, digital video and film projection technology. Our professional production personnel are available to work with you on any event from a simple lecture to a fully-staged opera.

The Mahaiwe enjoys a devoted audience of local residents, weekenders and tourists, drawing over 40,000 visitors per year from throughout Berkshire County, New England, New York, and around the country.
