The Tanglewood Music Center is excited to collaborate with the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center to present the acclaimed Mexican percussion ensemble Tambuco, a four-time Grammy nominee. Under the direction of founder Ricardo Gallardo, this event will immerse the audience in the vibrant world of Mexican contemporary classical music. The program will feature a captivating performance by Tambuco, showcasing their exceptional artistry and rich cultural instruments. Following the performance, audience members will be invited to participate in a hands-on segment that includes body percussion and other percussive expressions. The event will conclude with light refreshments, providing an opportunity for attendees to meet and connect with the musicians.
