Help fund cooling and heating in the historic theater

Maintaining comfortable temperatures in a theater built in 1905 necessitates a state-of-the-art HVAC system that is the size of a small bedroom. That’s what it takes to move 24,000 cubic feet of air through the auditorium every minute.
Replacing and upgrading our 22-year-old HVAC system will cost the Mahaiwe between $500,000-$600,000. You can help to ensure that artists and audiences are comfortable year-round, on the stage, in the artists’ dressing rooms, and seated anywhere in the venerable historic theater.
The Mahaiwe was recently awarded a $162,500 Cultural Facilities Fund grant from the Mass Cultural Council. This grant must be matched dollar-for-dollar. Here’s where you get to play your part: by raising your paddle. Together, we can meet the match.
During our paddle raise, we’ll ask you to give a gift at one or more of these levels:
$15,000
$10,000
$5,000
$2,500
$1,000
$500
$100
Participating in the Gala Paddle Raise — online or under the Gala tent — is a tangible way to support the Mahaiwe. This year, your gift will help ensure year-round comfort in the historic theater.
Thank you for giving generously.
