The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center has released the full schedule of its popular program led by film director and educator Deborah Reinisch.
For the third consecutive year, the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center invites participation in New York Theatre Workshop’s Mind the Gap, a free intergenerational collaborative performance-making program, June 23 through June 27. Mind the Gap’s primary goal is to use theatre as a creative tool to increase empathy and communication between generations and starts with the premise that we always have something to learn from each other, regardless of age.
The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center will present stand-up comedian Gary Gulman on Thursday, July 31 at 8 p.m.
Actor, singer, Broadway star and Grammy-winner Andrew Rannells will headline the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center’s annual gala on Sunday, July 13 at 8 p.m.
The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center has added three new shows to its year-round schedule: soul musician Marc Broussard on July 11, country singer-songwriter Rosanne Cash on July 23, and comedian Paul Reiser on July 25. In addition, the organization will continue its 100 Years of Movies series with returning film director and educator Deborah Reinisch, and has announced the first three titles for this year’s run: The Philadelphia Story on June 6, The Maltese Falcon on June 19; and Singin’ in the Rain on July 5.
The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center has added five concerts to its year-round schedule: folk artist Steve Earle on June 14; rock band Los Lobos on June 20; singer-songwriters Shawn Colvin and Rodney Crowell on June 21; country rock outfit Pure Prairie League on July 3; and pop and country singer LeAnn Rimes on August 6.
The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center is among eight recipients statewide of the Barr Foundation’s $3.3 million Cultural Evolution initiative, the Boston-based foundation recently announced in a statement.
The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center had added three screened events to its existing programming this winter.
