The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center adds four movie events to its schedule this spring: A Fish Called Wanda (1988) on Friday, April 8 at 7 p.m., His Girl Friday (1940) on Friday, April 22 at 7 p.m., Legally Blonde (2001) on Friday, May 6 at 7 p.m., and Raising Arizona (1987) on Saturday, May 14 at 7 p.m.

The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center and The Mount co-present a conversation with couple Debbie Millman and Roxane Gay about Millman’s new book Why Design Matters: Conversations with the World’s Most Creative People, on Sunday, May 15 at 4 p.m.

The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center announces the American rock act the Wallflowers — Jakob Dylan’s Grammy-winning outfit — will perform live on its stage on Friday, May 20 at 8 p.m.

Singer-songwriter Diana Burco will perform live on the Mahaiwe stage, Sunday, March 13 at 4 p.m., as part of an extended visit to the performing arts center that includes two educational programs and a free community event at Berkshire Community College in Pittsfield.

The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center adds four classic movies to its year-round programming lineup: The Shining (1980) on Friday, January 28 at 7 p.m.; Roman Holiday (1953) on Monday, February 14 at 7 p.m.; Remember the Titans (2000) on Saturday, February 19 at 7 p.m.; and The Gods Must Be Crazy (1980) on Friday, March 4 at 7 p.m.

The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center adds two high-definition screenings to its programming: an encore of Fire Shut Up in My Bones from the Metropolitan Opera on Saturday, February 12; and The Book of Dust – La Belle Sauvage from London’s National Theatre on Saturday, April 9.  

The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center announces the David Bromberg Quintet will join its November 27 concert with Hot Tuna, replacing David Grisman’s Dawg Trio, which canceled its tour.

The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center will present a free concert with Tennessee-based country and bluegrass band Corey Zink and Company at Memorial Park, Monday, October 11, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

In continuation of its Spanish-language programming partnership with Volunteers in Medicine Berkshires (VIM), the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center will screen the 2019 Ecuadorian comedy film Dedicada a mi ex (rated PG-13) for free and with English subtitles on Thursday, October 21 at 6 p.m.
